This property underwent a major refurbishment, part of which was the installation of a whole house entertainment and automation system. The Control 4 home automation system controls the lighting, heating, blinds, curtains and AV equipment throughout the property and also allows the client to control their property from their second home in Portugal.

To create that minimalist look the TV screens were set flush into the walls. We also worked with the cabinet maker to set the TV flush into the bedroom cabinets. In ceiling speakers were installed in the ceilings in all rooms to give house wide music distribution which is controlled via the on screen interface. A high definition distribution system gives access to two Sky HD boxes, Blu Ray, and also Play Station which can be played in every room and someone in the living room can even play against someone in the bedroom or indeed on the other side of the world.

The morning alarm on this system can be set to wake you up gently by first putting the heating on, then slowly bringing the lights up, then music and finally by raising the blinds. A single button next to the front door puts the house in sleep mode, turning off all the lights and heating, closing the blinds and turning off all the AV equipment.
